The thing about traveling, once you get past its beautiful destinations, comes all that you need to deal with as a traveler, the less glamorous side of travel for sure.

When I found myself needing to travel from Orlando to Ohio for business, and my travel to the airport is a road trip in itself, and I am a nervous traveler, I decided to spend a night at a hotel near the airport. 

If you've never been to Orlando (do you live under a rock? lol), I'll tell you, there is an abundance of airports to choose from. I knew I wanted to make sure things were as convenient and stress-free as possible, especially after that long drive.

Now, being the ADHD person that I am, I also know that I need some stimulation before I go rest up. And food...I need food. BUT,  I also know I can't handle the stress of commuting to the airport early in the a.m. Enter the Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport, the answer to all my needs (and proof that there are others like me).

LOOKING FOR A HOTEL IN ORLANDO?

Prime Location-Right Inside The Airport

The best Orlando hotel locations are around great food, exceptional shopping and of course all of the Orlando attractions. Upon arriving at the airport, I was relieved to discover two things: 1) You can't get any closer to the airport (It's right inside the airport!), and 2) it means I can shop and have several options for food. All in one location. The icing on the cake is that you can see the airplane runways from your window. It's also right inside the terminal! With exceptional hotels like the Hyatt Regency, it makes it easy to enjoy a good nights sleep while traveling.

COMFORT AND A VIEW AT THE HYATT REGENCY ORLANDO

I stayed in one of the Hyatt Regency hotel suites called View. The name is pretty self-explanatory. You have a view of the runway. From your private balcony, everywhere you look has this amazing view of the runway. I know what you are thinking...On the runway, so I must hear the planes. Right? Only if you had your balcony door open.  And it was one of the best nights of sleep I've had in a while. Amazingly, you could hear nothing!

There was also a desk area in the suite, which was important as there was a little blog work I wanted to complete while in the room. This also included a coffee pot on the expansive desk with a large assortment of coffee and teas.

The welcome I received really set the tone for my stay.

The staff was ever attentive at this Orlando hotel. From the minute I arrived, the reception staff was looking after me - always at hand to help with any questions asked of them - always smiling and helpful. They also provided additional help as I had already parked prior to coming in, but not according to the directions for the validating. They quickly took care of this and I had no worries.

What I loved about the Hyatt Regency Orlando was that it was refined and posh, all without an ostentatious vibe.

As with most hotels, you get the standard amenities of toiletries, albeit a more luxe sampling. Inside the hotel, there’s a team of inviting eateries, whether you'd like a sit-down experience or a tasting sampler, there's something for everyone. The Hyatt Regency dishes up delicious meals from contemporary world cuisine, sushi, American fare, or the tasting sampler as previously mentioned, all at your fingertips. There is also a wide-ranging room service menu without being too voluminous.

A Quick Tour of the Rest of the Hotel

You might think that since it is an airport, it can't be a large hotel, right? Well, the hotel is actually quite substantial with 445 rooms. Additionally, there is an impressive conference center and 42,000 square feet of versatile venues, providing a lot of space for activities. 

There’s also a fitness center, which features the latest in Life Fitness® Cardio equipment and quarter-mile rooftop jogging track. If you are traveling with children, it is good to know that the pool has a view of the runway as well, providing for refreshing and tremendous entertainment sure to keep them occupied. I love that they thought of this because it means the perfect stay for everyone. of course, there is also impressive pool service with options like fresh salads, appetizers, cocktails or sandwiches, all with that unbelievable view.

The Final Word

One of the biggest benefits of having stayed at the Hyatt Regency Orlando International for me as a nervous traveler was that I was more rested and relaxed than I normally am when traveling. This was one of my top hotel stays.
