How I Decorated My Home For Christmas For Less 2Merry Christmas, friends!

Today, I am sharing the Christmas decor I used for my home. I really hope this post provides you with some much-needed inspiration for your Christmas decor! Let’s get started!

Ever since I was little, I have loved decorating for Christmas. In the past, I had decorated my home in such a way that people always said it looked warm and cozy like a bed and breakfast. Whether doing it alone or as a family, I love decorating while cranking Christmas music, deciding what color to use this year and what ornaments will look best. It was always decorating that marked the start of the season.

Since I now live by myself, Christmas decorating took on a different feel. I went more neutral and glam. I really love this flocked tree I purchased from WalMart this year. It was so easy to put together, which is a plus for me. Three simple pieces lock together and simply fluff! My ceilings are actually high so I could have gone with a tall tree but since I was trying to save money because I was completely setting up a new house, I opted for the 6.5 foot. This is so stunningly pretty, there's no need to be super tall. With my glam and neutral theme, I opted for white, silver and blush. I'm not really big on rustic and love the glam look.

Adorning the tree is a large package of ornaments as well as a smaller more ornate one, all from Target. I incorporated several ornaments as well as big clip on poinsettias from Dollar Tree. The white furry tree skirt from Home Goods is as soft as it looks. The base of the tree is a tree collar from Walmart. If I find the time, I may bling it 🙂  The glittery boxes beneath the tree are also from Home Goods and fill the gap nicely.

I am really lucky because I live near all the best stores (think WalMart, Target, Home Goods, TJMaxx, BigLots, etc) It's part of my routine to see what Christmas decor selection looked like! These are my go to stores to stay on budget.

Ultimately my goal here was to lighten the look of the big black box. I purchased this console from Pier One. I absolutely love the light wood and mirrored look. My spaces are large and a console fills the space nicely and provides me with extra storage space for games and movies. It’s a little pricey, which is to be expected for quality furniture but, oddly enough, it is always discounted so keep an eye out if you’re considering it, especially with the holidays approaching!

To lighten the look of the big black tv box (can you tell a tv is an issue for me lol), I filled the gap between the top of the console and the bottom of my TV with texture, using a small white fur rug. I mixed items that are different heights. I picked up the nutcracker and Santa at Big  Lots, the bottle trees from Walgreens, candle, and candle holder on the left from Bath and Body Works, countdown from Target dollar spot and last but not least the Baby It's Cold Outside candle from Burlington. found these lanterns that we filled with these adorable velvet pumpkins.

What do you think?

My couch (I am linking a similar style) incorporates well being a cool-toned gray, which goes well with the white rug. Starting a whole new home or making changes to your existing space can be expensive but utilizing my go-to stores helps keep the cost down. I also two silver and marble side tables that mix well. The deer is from Big Lots and the flower vase from TJMaxx.

I love for my sofa to look cozy and inviting with pillows and throws. You just want to curl up with a blanket.  I mix textures with the pillows and throws. I'll update you later with the coffee table ottoman which arrives tomorrow.

This is a favorite find of mine! It’s what you see right when you walk in the front door of my home as well as from the sofa. The mirrored console is from Home Goods but I linked the similar option that I had been eyeing before I found this one for a third of the price! Yay Home Goods!

I always think it’s important something to the top of console tables to add a little something to your space at night. The deer is from Big Lots and the trees from Target. To balance out the other side, I incorporated a vase I picked up at Home Goods filled with Dollar Tree ornaments. Behind it, on the wall I added another deer and a sign to add more height, both from Target!
