Weekly Goals

What are your goals?  You have to write goals down as the first step to accomplishing them.  There are a couple of reasons why this is true.

First, it helps you crystalize your goals so that you have a more tangible idea of what you want to accomplish.

Once you have that vision, you have something attainable to work towards. The other reason for writing down your goals is that it helps you commit to the changes you want to make in order to achieve those goals.

Why is this important to your keto menu planner? Perhaps you have special limits you want to adhere to beyond the parameters of the keto diet.

Maybe you have a specific weight you want to work towards. It may be the number of ingredients or how much you want to spend.

Whatever the goal is, measurable success starts with writing it down.

Shopping List

The key to your keto menu planner is the shopping list.  You may notice that there is not a lot of space.

This is on purpose because you want to stick to basic simple ingredients week after week.  Focus on what is fresh.

If you want to invest in pantry staples to assist in future cooking, that is a good idea, but this weekly shopping list should focus on specific keto friendly produce, meats, and dairy products.

The streamlined shopping also saves you time in the supermarket. As you make your purchases consider items that will have multiple uses so you can stretch them among different meals throughout the week.

Daily Meals

When you sit down to plan your meals, consult the shopping list.  The list will inspire you to come up with meal ideas, or you can search those ingredients and find meal ideas online.

As you come up with meals for the week you will probably have new ingredients that you decide to add to the shopping list.

That's perfect. some fresh items will have a lower shelf life than others, so plan the meals that use those ingredients earlier on in the week.

Things that tend to stay fresh a little bit longer can be held until later. Take this into account as you purchase produce in particular. For example, if you want avocado on Friday, buy one that is a little tough and anticipate it ripening by then.
