The big Disney vacation vision is usually of frolicking in the deluxe resorts, just a stone's throw away from Magic Kingdom, without a care in the world.  On the other hand, many guests who want to go to Disney World just don't have the budget for that kind of luxury, or they would rather extend their stay than have to cut it down.  A value resort is a way to save money and still be on property.
