5 Easy Tactics to Help Save Money While You Plan for Disney World
Save money at Disney World before you go by following these easy tips. Planning your vacation will be easy and fun. Plus, it will help you save money as you make decisions about how to spend it.
Save Money While Booking Your Room
While you are booking your room, don't be afraid to check other sites to compare pricing, and always click the special offers link on the Disney World website under "places to stay" just to be sure you don't miss out on a discount.

While the experience of staying exclusively within Disney World is the optimal choice, it may not be worth it on a budget. Price other hotels in the area, especially if you are considering one of the All-Star resorts. The hotel stay is the most costly part of your vacation. Therefore, it's the best area to save money on. Just verify the location on the map. There are plenty of good hotels that are walking distance from Disney Springs.
Save on Tickets
Disney loves to pressure you into purchasing packages and bundles. Psychologically you feel like you will save money, like when you bundle your auto and fire insurance. Unfortunately, there is no discount here. Moreover, every time I've calculated the costs, purchasing park tickets along with a room always comes out more than if you buy them separately. There are some perks that they promise for making this combined purchase, but the monetary value of those is questionable.

Buy your tickets separately. This is a "don't pay more" tactic, more than it is a "save money" tactic. But discount tickets can be found too. There are some trusted sites like Orlando Fun Tickets that sell discounted theme park tickets and multi-day packages.
Save up Gift Cards
Ask for Disney gift cards from anybody who wants to know what to get you for special occasions. Save them up, they are excellent. You can use them on all things, Disney. You can also use some store gift cards to buy Disney gift cards, and in some cases (like with the Target Red Card) get money back from the purchase when you buy online.
Sign Up For a Disney Rewards Visa
Another very effective way to save for Disney World is to use your spending to your advantage by signing up for a Disney Rewards Visa card. You will earn points on purchases that translate to what is essentially a Disney gift card. You have to request redemption beforehand in order to get your card delivered.
Find Your Money
You can do little things to funnel money into your savings, and it doesn't all have to be cutbacks on spending. That is the best way to save money, but not the only way. You have plenty that you might not even realize. Try saving up your coins in a piggy bank for starters. Recycle your cans at the store, and find some of your lightly used material possessions to sell online to give you a nice cash cushion. Couch cushion? Cash cushion. But...check the couch cushion, too.
