Ringing in the new year is likely to be spent staying up for the clock to strike midnight while imbibing on average cocktails. Not very memorable. Everyone initially strives to pull off a better than average NYE celebration, however the busyness the holiday celebrations prior overshadow the ultimate success of your NYE party. But, fret not. We’ve got 5 cocktails to help you ring in the new year!
Champagne may remain the classic for the stroke of midnight, but for the rest of the night, we’ve got what you need to level up your shindig. That said, here’s our favorites that we’ll be sharing this New Years Eve.
In a Pear Tree
In my travels, I had come across the best wine bar in Ames, Iowa. It, of course, served many wines but also had an extensive drink menu, including a vast variety of vodka mule’s. It quickly became ‘my thing’ to frequent this establishment in order to make my way through tasting all of their mule flavors.
Moscow Mule’s are typically served in aesthetically pleasing copper mugs that also help them retain their coldness. They also make a fabulous gift basket presentation, along with a bottle of vodka, if you are looking for an over-the-top gift for someone.
Garnish your mule with sliced pear, or an in this recipe, lemon. Due to browning, we came across a sugared and baked garnish idea that we will use since we can prepare them ahead of time.
2 oz. American Harvest Organic Vodka
1 oz. Fresh lemon juice
¼ pc. Pear
Muddle Pear. Add ice and all ingredients to glass. Stir and add garnish.

TÖST To The Season
If you have not heard of TÖST, you are missing out! We love to keep it on hand for those who desire non-alcoholic refreshment. In fact, we will be having a toast with the kids (an early toast…shhhh!) TÖST is a delicious dry sparkling beverage of white tea, white cranberry and ginger that you can enjoy daily, yet is festive for occasions.
Rocking Rum Punch
By Barrows House Inn, Dorset, VT
1 oz fresh lime juice
1 splash grenadine syrup
1 oz light rum
1 oz dark rum
¼ cup fresh pineapple juice
¼ cup fresh orange juice

Puttin’ on The Spritz
At El Mayor, they’ve been perfecting tequila for four generations, focusing only on tequila as a labor of love. Their Cran ‘n’ Honey Spritz cocktail is made with cranberry, honey simple syrup, Prosecco and, of course, their tequila. The addition of Mionetto Prosecco is a light and refreshing cocktail, making it perfect for NYE.

*Honey Simple Syrup: Boil equal parts honey and water.
Shake ingredients over ice and top with Prosecco. Strain into a martini glass and garnish with a lemon twist and ground cinnamon dust.
Make Your Mark
Sophisticated and complex, Campari’s bittersweet punch meets a layered balance by adding the richness of Maker’s Mark and sweet vermouth.
This 1920s cocktail is a bourbon-based take on an even older classic: the Negroni. This version replaces gin with Maker’s Mark®, delivering intriguing depth and warmth.
Garnish your drinks by matching flavors. Twists made from citrus peels add a festive touch to the Boulevardier.
Prepare to be Empressed
