Wow! This is so cool! I've been trying to get my kids outside. This looks like so much fun! #kids #family #outside #stomp #stomprocket

So we’ve been in a cycle of rain in Florida. We had to shut down outside activities because of daily rain. When it stopped for a day (although it looked like it was going to start up again) we took advantage.  I was tired of seeing the kids on their devices, so we took them outside for some physical activity.

Although electronics have their advantages, it’s important to encourage them to play and be creative.  This post contains affiliate links, which means I may earn some money if you click on one. Read the full disclaimer here.

Getting Outside with a Stomp Rocket

With the goal of getting them outside, I decided to put the iPads away for the day and pull out a surprise I’ve been holding.

Of course, we were met with immediate disdain at the thought of putting away electronics. But when Evan saw the box, he was excited and went to quick work reading the directions and assembling. The surprise was The Stomp Rocket Stunt Planes set. The set features 3 unique stunt planes (designed by aeronautical engineers to loop, glide, and flip).

Wondering how to get them to break free from electronics?

Playing with the Stomp Rocket

With 3 kids, three was the perfect amount! Each picked the stunt plane that appealed to them and anxiously awaited their turn while Evan sat up the stomper.

You don't need any fuels to launch a rocket–this rocket toy is launched using air and the stomping power of the child. The force of stepping on the air bladder determines how high the plane goes. Because they are soft foam, you don't need to worry of broken windows or scratched cars. You can recover it easily, too. The plane never flew far from the yard.

Luckily we were able to play quite awhile while the weather held out. The wind was perfect today as it took each plane on a light glide over our yard and the neighbors. It doesn’t sound far but with the wind, it took some nice twists and turns often starting one direction and ending in a completely opposite direction.

Affordable and Fun

Summary: We were all a big fan of the Stomp Rocket. The kids thoroughly enjoyed playing with it, having a blast stomping and watching the twists and turns. The adults enjoyed watching them have fun with it as well as there was not one fight. With many games, kids are competitive and fight. This was so enjoyable for all. At $29.99 it is affordable and well worth the price tag. This is something they will definitely use again and get much use from.

Looks like a fun toy for the kids! I don’t allow screen time (she’s just 2) so we always out and about.

I totally agreed with this post. All our kids should go outside more often to play varies activities. No more phones and pads, not good for kids at all.

My kids love to do things outside but it’s so hot here most days, it’s hard to stay out very long.

It definitely looks like it would have been a lot of fun. I think the way to get my daughter outside is anything to make her wet and she would love it.

Getting kids to leave gadgets is an achievement in itself. Anything that makes kids spend time outside is a winner in my book.

It’s been quite the opposite here, it’s been sunny and abnormally hot for the last week. Glad this rocket is keeping the kids entertained outside.

I am the hugest fan of those stomp rockets!!! They are awesome!! My kids play with them for hours. It’s one of those great toys that entertains a big range of ages, and gets them to stay outside and get some fresh air.

Sounds like a very fun toy! When I was a kit, a book was enough for me. I’d read outside all afternoon!
