30 DIY Bath Bombs That’ll Make Bath Time Even Better
I have to admit, I am a bath bomb addict. I love how my skin feels and that they do the fizzy thing when you drop them in the tub. Quite simply, one of my favorite things. Several a week. But I hate the expense. $10 or more? That doesn't fit in my budget. That's highway robbery! I started looking into making them at home and discovered it is inexpensive. If you’ve never tried a bath bomb, you are seriously missing out on a spa-like experience! But with a wonderful fizz that gives your bath just the right kick.
A great thing about making your own, you will know your ingredients. Some of those you buy are chemically laden nightmares. Not only healthy ingredients but you can also make them geared towards allergies, skin conditions, sore muscles and more. What are they?
Basically, it's this cool ball made from natural ingredients like coconut oil, salts, and essential oils, just to name a few. Some even have surprises!
As you drop it in the water, this causes the reaction that it starts to fizz and release those good for your skin ingredients.
The other stuff, like surprises, is just icing on the cake to make it pretty.
Most of the items you will probably have on hand. Typically the basic ingredients are essential oils, baking soda, cornstarch, citric acid, and cream of tartar. You can use whatever you have on hand for a mold, such as a plastic Easter egg. To make the job easier, I did purchase some molds and some new essential oils. I've compiled the best bath bombs on the internet. Did you know you could make a geode bath bomb?? I sure didn't! Not only will I be making these for myself, but friends too! Think Christmas, Mother's Day and Birthdays!
