CROWD-PLEASING CROCKPOT MEATBALL APPETIZER

I am not sure what it is, but meatballs are always devoured at our parties & potlucks. A meatball crockpot recipe is a standard for me for anytime I need an appetizer or potluck dish. You simply can't get any easier! What is it about meatballs that we love? This particular recipe has been around since my mom was a kid and passed down through the family as a go-to!

As I said, this recipe has been passed around through generations, although different variations exist. Some make with Heinz Chili sauce, which is delicious as well. Somewhere along the line, BBQ sauce was introduced and it's stayed with us for years. We like the extra tang BBQ sauce gives.  We all usually have a favorite BBQ sauce, but we usually use whatever I get on BOGO at Publix.

If you are one of those people thrown off by a particular ingredient, such as the grape jelly in this, please give them a try anyway. Once mixed with the BBQ sauce, you really do not taste the grape. It just adds a sweetness. While you might save a buck making meatballs from scratch, in a quick pinch or large quantity, consider frozen. They hold up well and make light work for this dish.
