Festive Shamrock Shake

The Shamrock Shake is a delicious blend of ice cream, mint and milk. For St. Patrick's Day, we love to have fun with food and drink here!

We typically have green eggs for breakfast, corned beef and cabbage as well as this festive Shamrock Shake as a treat!

Preparing these at home not only mean saving money for a budget-minded family, but you'll know exactly what you are putting into your treat.

Five minutes for 3 ingredients makes for a fast treat!

What You Need for the Shamrock Shake

  • Vanilla Ice cream
  • Milk
  • Mint Extract
  • Green food coloring

Optional

  • Whipped cream
  • Maraschino cherry
  • Sprinkles
  •

How Do You Make The Shamrock Shake?

Simply blend the vanilla ice cream, milk, and green food coloring on medium to low speed. Pour into desired glasses and garnish as desired. Enjoy!

What does the Shamrock Shake Taste Like?

The Shamrock Shake is creamy and minty. How minty depends on what mint is used. Plain mint is typically the preferred mint due to it's milder mint taste. Peppermint tends to be much stronger.

Can You Add Alcohol to the Shamrock Shake?

You can absolutely add alcohol to the shamrock shake! Use as much or as little as you like. Plain vodka would work nicely as would flavored vodka.
