Bread is one of the most popular foods in America. While we may know what it’s like to eat a sandwich, how many people realize there are actually two ways you can tear apart bread? It turns out that tearing a piece of bread from top-to-bottom and then right-to-left will create more surface area for cutting than ripping down vertically on either side or pulling up at an angle. Who knew?! I’ve always pulled my pieces vertically so this was news to me! Which way do you prefer when eating your sandwiches? And which method would be better if you were making toast – horizontal or vertical? Let me know what your favorites are!
