Save Money Dining at Disney with These Three Tips
The top three ways to save money dining at Disney World are so simple they may surprise you. The next time you do Disney on a budget try these tips and spend less on food while you are there.
Breakfast
Save money dining at breakfast by going to the quick service/grab and go location at your resort. You can get breakfast for much less and even opt for a simple pastry and coffee. You can save on the coffee by making it in your room with the complimentary pods, or you can purchase the refillable cup and use that. The refillable cups can be shared to really cut the cost of beverages down throughout your trip. At least, as long as you don't mind drinking out of the same cup or taking turns going to the fountain.

Lunch/Dinner
Lunch and dinner menus are usually the same. Sometimes dinner is more expensive. If you are looking to have a nice table service meal, make the reservation for lunch. In most cases, you should stick to counter service options to save the most money. Some counter service restaurants have large entrees that can be shared. Counter service is the best way to save money dining because the food costs less and you don't have a server to tip.

If you have a small appetite, save even more money by ordering a kids meal. This might be difficult to do in a table service restaurant, but not at a counter. Some Disney Check Kids Menus have some intriguing options. You can also ask for ice water and save on the cost of beverages.
Snacks
Snacks are not as pricey as most people think. They can easily fit into a food budget in moderation. The best way to save money dining at Disney with snacks is to pay attention to what the snacks cost. Plenty of treats come in under five dollars, but others with debatable value can be double, or more. Set your limit and stick to it.
Beverages are way too expensive. It's best to bring your own (non-alcoholic of course). You will want to stay hydrated anyway, so be sure to carry bottled water in your backpack.
