With summer upon us, it will be extra hard to keep up with the house when the kids are home all day and all we want to do is have fun with them. Even during holidays, it's hard. No matter the time of year, these cleaning hacks will help you keep clean and speed clean. No one wants to spend time cleaning when we can be spending time having fun. Use Your Broom
To dust up high, cover your broom with a microfiber cloth. This works for anything up high and hard to reach especially crown molding, vents, etc. It also works great to quickly wipe the baseboards.
Get Rid of Soap Scum
Did you know that grapefruit and salt will break down and clean built up soap scum? Halve a grapefruit, then cover the cut with salt to clean.
Dust The Light Bulbs
Did you know, if you dust your light bulbs, then the bulbs become brighter? Especially needed when using longer lasting bulbs since they'll be in a lot longer.
Reusable Laundry Sponges
An awesome way to have your clothes come out smelling and feeling fresh every time is to try this tutorial for creating reusable lavender laundry sponges. Definitely a great way to make your laundry smell super good!
I run my kitchen sponges through the dishwasher to give them a thorough cleaning. But, did you know that if you throw them in the microwave for 1 minute that it will disinfect them? Bonus points because heating it releases the water, moistening dried food making wiping it out a breeze.

Use Your A/C To Help
So many people have allergies now and let's face it, we all end up sneezing from dust. To help you when dusting the house, turn on the A/C so it draws the airborne dust to the filter.

Make light work thereby also cutting the cleaning time of your bathroom and kitchen exhaust fans by using canned air.
