What you need for Crockpot Mississippi Roast
This version of Crockpot Mississippi Roast only requires 5 ingredients!
1 (3-4 lb.) chuck roast
1 packet Au jus gravy mix
½ packet ranch seasoning
½ stick (4 Tablespoons) butter
6-7 pepperoncini’s (or to taste)
How do you make Mississippi Crockpot Roast
Thanks to the use of the crockpot in this version, this recipe is virtually effortless!
Simply place the chuck roast into the bottom of your crock pot and cover with au jus gravy mix, ranch mix, butter, and pepperoncini’s. Place the lid on and set on low for 8 hours or high for 4. (Best results are when cooked low and slow).
After the 8 hours cooking is up, use two forks to shred the meat (or use these meat claws that I love).
You can serve over a bed of mashed potatoes or enjoy as a sandwich. I like to prepare enough for leftovers (two meals) and serve over potatoes the first night followed by sandwiches the next night.
