Whether you are having a party, watching football, or it is a holiday, you’ll want some simple appetizers to nosh on until the dinner is ready. We’ve got you covered with some fast but yummy appetizers with ingredients that are easy to fond or probably have on hand!
What’s great about these appetizers is that they are so easy. If you run out it is simple, and under 5 minutes, to make a new batch, letting you enjoy the festivities.
Quick & Easy Keto Appetizers
Charcuterie tray – The always popular charcuterie can be made keto really easily with a selection of meats, cheeses, olives and nuts.
Buffalo Chicken Dip with celery stick scoops– My favorite Buffalo chicken dip is made with 1 1/2 pounds shredded cooked chicken (I have used both homemade and rotisserie chicken for this!), 8 oz cream cheese, 1 packet hidden valley ranch dip packet, 1/2 cup favorite cheese, 1/2 c. sour cream. Mix and place in baking dish and bake in 350 degree oven for 20 minutes. Or use a slow cooker on high 2 hours. As this is served warm, I like the crock pot method to keep it warm. Serve with celery sticks to scoop.
Shrimp Platter – this is really easy to assemble. I buy ready to eat bagged shrimp and place on my own tray for eating. This is much cheaper than the store bought trays which are also frozen shrimp.
Deviled Eggs – I have my standard deviled eggs that I can now just throw together (thanks to keto lol) but there are many varieties on the web as well.
Bacon Cheeseburger Lettuce Wrap – Ground beef, bacon, cheese, lettuce and tomato.
Chicken wings – I simply season mine and throw in the air fryer so they are crisped to perfection. You can make a variety by throwing together some keto friendly sauces.
Bacon wrapped Cocktail Sausages-Wrap bacon around cocktail sausage and secure with toothpick. Line a baking pan with foil and cover pan with wrapped sausages. Sprinkle with swerve brown sugar and bake 10 minutes at 425 degrees.
Caprese salad – with sliced mozzarella, tomatoes, and pesto, drizzle with balsamic.
Pork Rind Nachos – Pork rinds are your base and this can be as elaborate as you like or simply dipped in keto queso.
English cucumber – spread a little cream cheese and top with a cherry tomato.
Keto Italian Sub Rollups – Lay 3 slices of meat, top with cheese, shredded lettuce, tomato, banana pepper, roll and secure with a toothpick.
Pork Rinds with Guac
Deli-sliced beef, chicken, and ham – Spread some cream cheese on a slice, then roll it up. Bonus tastiness includes a thin slice of pickle in the center of the roll (for all varieties) and horseradish mixed with the cream cheese for the beef rolls.
Veggie sticks – w/guacamole, ranch, blue cheese, spinach-avocado-parmesan dip.
Bacon wrapped avocado slices
Parm Wings -rolled in egg and dipped in a mix of grated Parmesan, cajun spices and salt. Baked for 35 min or air fry 375 degrees.
Sweet peppers – stuffed with caramelized onions, mozzarella and cheddar cheese, garlic and cream cheese and bake.
Cucumber Bacon Avocado Bites – Top sliced cucumber with small piece of crisp bacon, top with seasoned mashed avocado. Top with piece of cooked shrimp. Secure with a toothpick. (Season avocado with Minced red onion, lime juice, cilantro and salt).
Burger Bites – Grill burgers. Top burger chunks with cheese and pop them in oven for cheese to melt. Let cool. Add lettuce on top and assemble with toothpicks.
Jalapeño Poppers – Slice jalapeños in half and we scoop out the seeds to cut down the spice. Mix together one block of cream cheese and 3/4 cup of shredded cheese of choice. Spread cheese mix on jalapeños then wrap in bacon (1/3 to 1/2 piece) and keep together with toothpicks. Cook at 450 for ~18 minutes.
Pork Rinds & Dip – mix 1 serving of avocado mayo, 1/2 serving of sriracha sauce.
Bacon-wrapped jalapenos – stuff with either cream cheese or pimiento cheese.
Salami Pizza Cups– cup genoa salami into muffin tins, bake till crisp, spoon in keto friendly red sauce, top w mozzarella, bake again till cheese is melty. Sprinkle w pizza herbs and spices (garlic, pepper, oregano) and serve.
4-layer dip – Mix Sour cream + cream cheese and place on the bottom of the dish, layer avocado, then salsa, followed by grated cheese. Dip with veggies or pork rinds.
Bacon Avocado Egg bites– Layer egg with avocado and bacon. Top with other half of egg.
